Magic in the
Palm of Your Hands

Mythamatic is a tabletop game design studio - and by “tabletop game design studio” we mean “group of dudes meeting around a kitchen table and prototyping board games.”

While we don’t power our games with arcane rituals and midnight goat sacrifices (as far as you know), we hope you’ll feel the magic we put into every one of our projects when you play. If you’re curious about what we do and who we are, click on the links below!

You can also follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Creative Influences: Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, Eva Ibbotson, 19th-century spiritualism, DnD, folklore, SCIENCE!

“I’ve been making board games for fun since I was a wee lad, but I didn’t really know what I was doing until a friend from grad school introduced me to homebrew roleplay systems.  After that, I got into the local tabletop community and I was hooked! Nothing is more satisfying for me than when a game’s mechanics and story work together seamlessly. My work with Mythamatic is to put together the core engines of the games, which is the closest I’ll ever come to being a mechanic. When I’m not fiddling with new rules systems, I pretend to be in charge. Most of the time, they humor me.”

Likes: shiny things, horror-comedies, YouTube crafting channels
Dislikes: cringe humor, Hallmark movies (related?)

The Brawn

Class: Bard/Barbarian… Bardarian?
Role: Art Director, Tinkerer, Pretty Maker, Cat #1
Creative Influences: Aaron Draplin, Christy Sanderson, children’s books, video games, design school

“Since being smol, I’ve always had a keen eye for graphic, hard-edged, and high contrast art pieces. The simplicity of kid’s books and cartoons have always fascinated me, and I utilize that interest in my daily work. I’ve been through the crucible of design school. During that time, I’ve experimented with comic art and design, website building, and typography. My work with Mythamatic is to be the boiler-room worker gremlin to these chuckle-heads and make things pretty, all while pretending to look confused.

They’ll never suspect a thing.”

Likes: Tea, Cats, Small Critters, Tranquility, Nonsense, Comfy Places, Pillow Forts
Dislikes: Cold, Depression, Unfinished Things On My List
Hot Take: Hot dogs are a kind of taco
